The Greatest Showman movie review

Image
Review of a few Camera Angles in the Movie The Greatest Showman (2017) From Producer Michael Gracey I chose the movie the Greatest Showman because recently a lot of people have been recommending it to me. I have been told that it is a great movie and so me and my family decided to watch it. The movie was great and really showed how P.T. Barnum, the circus leader, struggled in life and in business. The shot is a close up shot this shot shows P.T. Barnum in his basic job not doing anything with his life. This shot makes you think about how you want your life to be. If you want to sit in a 9 to 5 job doing nothing with your life or doing something you love. This next shot is an over the shoulder. This shot is from when Barnum is trying to recruit someone that is unique so he goes to a person that he saw in the bank. The person Barnum wants to talk to is extremely short and has been looked down on by society and even his family. So when Barnum offers him a chance to be praised, the short m...

Storyboards Comments

Miguel's Storyboard Shots For the first shot I watched on Miguel's storyboard was the choker post. His choker shot was funny because Miguel's brother was unable to keep a straight face so he was laughing. The shot being close up was supposed to show how dramatic something is but Miguel's shot shows how funny something is. For the second shot I watched was the POV shot and this shot made it seem like you were being kicked by a foot. A POV shot is supposed to show how something may be seen if something were to happen to it, for example being kicked. For the last show I watched it was the close-up shot. The close-up shot was well filmed because it showed how something looks when it is being picked up and moved. This shot didn't really make me feel anything. Jovani's Storyboard Shots For Jovani's first shot that I watched was the low angle shot. The low angle shot made it seem as if the dog was listening to something I was telling the dog. Also the shot was fil...

Different Camera Shots

This was a Head-On shot, this shot was difficult to achieve because I had to have someone throw the ball at me.  This was a Medium Shot, the person in this video is my youngest brother and he was so happy to be doing all these. This was a Low-Angle Shot. This shot was fun to do because my brother didn't know how to act so he was freaking out. This was a Full Shot, this shot was fun because my little brother really wanted to hold something so I gave him the first thing I could find. This one was an eye level shot and my brother was really happy that I did this one because we were the same height for once. This was a Extreme Close-Up this shot was fun but also difficult, because my little brother could not just focus on one thing and would keep moving his eyes. This was a Close-Up shot, this shot was fun. However, the first time I tried to film it my brother yanked it outa frame so fast you couldn't even tell it was there. This one was a Close Shot this shot was pretty basic a...

Why I Chose This Class

I chose this class because I am interested in how the film industry works and how movies are made. I also took this class because it is an AICE class, this and the fact that I'm interested in movies both make it easy to have chosen this class
