 For our "Opening Film Project" we are doing a comedy, the group members are with Jovani Ramos and Diego Garcia-Salazar.

Semester Exam - Film Analyses of Black Mirror (season3, episode 4, San Junipero)

In the film extract, "Black Mirror" the director  can  combine different elements to make the viewer experience a sense of curiosity, mystery, and some fear.  The  director  does this through the lighting, camera shots, sounds, costumes and editing.   The way that the lighting was used in this extract was  to make the mood seem more mysterious and spookier. The director does this by making the  lighting of all the scenes darker  and just using smaller background lights to  provide   some form of lighting. 5 Master Edits

  Contrast: For contrast I showed how my dog was super calm and them she was jumping all over my little brother. This shot demonstrates the contrast of how my dog acts when it's just me and her and when other people are around her. Also, this shot made me understand why you shouldn't work with family and animals. Parallelism: For this shot it showed me throwing a ball and then the next shot was my dog chasing after it as if it were still there. This one was harder to film because my dog refuses to chase after the ball but will go after the stuffed toy. Symbolism: For this shot I panned into the body of a stuffed toy dog and then I panned away from the body of my dog. This was to show the change from a fake dog to a real dog. Simultaneity: For this shot I filmed my backyard to show how empty it is, and then I had my sister film the park where the cross country meet was to show the difference between the two areas at the same time. Mise-En-Scene in The Godfather

 I am making my mise-en-scene post on the movie The Godfather which came out March 24, 1972. This movie is about the Corleone family's struggle to stay alive in the ruthless Italian Mob. This movies shows how the Corleone family has to deal with the death of each other and of loved ones, the betrayal of friends, and the rise of Michael Corleone as the new head (or Don) of the Corleone mob family. The movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, but the book was written by Mario Puzo. In the begging of the movie we are introduced to Amerigo Bonasera the undertaker (this is important to the story), Bonasera is explaining to Vito "Don" Corleone how Bonasera's daughter was assaulted and how the men who did it were persecuted and then they were let go by the judge who was most likely paid off. In this scene it starts off with low key lighting when it shows the perspective of Don Corleone. The only form of light is coming from a window behind Corleone and the light shines on...
